Plus: I'm traveling to Dr. Phil today!

Today is β€œDr. Phil travel day”

OK, my bags are packed. I’m ready to go. (Obviously with John Denver’s β€œLeaving on a Jet Plane” stuck in my head.)

Today’s the day I travel to the Dr. Phil show to talk about AI in schools.

Until I’m done recording tomorrow afternoon, I’ll be nervous and uneasy. What questions will I get? How will the conversation go? Will I be happy with how I responded when we’re finished?

I’ll certainly go back over some of the AI posts we’ve published here to make sure I’m ready, like …

Writing has been my way of processing things for a long time. I’ll go back over posts β€” and actually re-read my book AI for Educators β€” to try to prep.

I’ll take as many photos as I can and share the experience as soon as I’m back!

πŸ—„ Template

πŸͺžLooking back and ahead with the Reflecting on My Learning template

When the activity, project or lesson is over, the learning isn't over. Reflecting on how it went -- the good, the bad, and the struggle -- can help students in the long run. It helps them think about the content in a new light.

But it also helps them think about themselves as a learner and how they can succeed in the future.

The Reflecting on My Learning template gives them choice on how they reflect, providing 18 reflection prompts.

Students copy/paste six of those reflection prompt tiles from one slide onto the activity and respond to each. That way, they can self select which prompts fit the work they did -- and the lessons they learned individually.
