If you have an interactive display, I’ll bet your big question is this:

Using artificial intelligence tools with it can be part of the answer.

Samsung is hosting me for a FREE webinar on Wednesday called: “AI: Your Interactive Display’s Hidden Classroom Superpower.”

💡 15 ideas for digital end-of-semester projects

We’re getting really, really close to the end of the semester.

That means it’s time for …

  • summarizing content learned so far

  • reviewing to prepare for final exams

  • making the most of these last days before break

Lots of us think about final projects when the semester comes to an end. It makes sense: it’s a cumulative assessment, and students have learned a lot that they can showcase.

In today’s post, 15 ideas for end-of-semester final projects, here are six tips we offer:

  • 🤔 Provide lots of thinking time: This means going back over content but also reflecting on it.

  • 🙋🏻‍♂️ Avoid lots of whole-class review: Too much of the same thing can cause attention to dwindle.

  • 👆🏿 Give choice and personalization options: Giving students choice can be messy, but it can be liberating.

  • 🎯 Prioritization is key: These projects are exercises in curation and brevity. Choosing carefully can help them learn.

  • 👀 Think about audience: Who gets to see the projects? Audience can lead to motivation.

  • ❤️ Think about higher purpose: Is there a group or organization who can benefit from your students’ projects?

So … what projects can your students do?

Check out the graphic below. And in our post, 15 ideas for end-of-semester final projects, you’ll get the details, the tools, and the examples you need.

🎧 DLP 038: ChatGPT Changes and a Vision of AI in Education

OpenAI has released several big new features for ChatGPT-4, the paid premium version.

Even though many teachers probably don't subscribe to it, these features paint a picture of where AI is headed and how it can impact the classroom.

In this episode, Holly and Matt give an overview of some of the most important changes. Plus, they outline the executive order on artificial intelligence from the White House and how it'll impact education.

😄 Smile of the day

Sometimes, you just have to mess with your students to keep everyone sane …
