🌒 'Twas the night before Ditch Summit

‘Twas the night before Ditch Summit, and all through the schools,
The teachers weren't sleeping, trying to keep their cool,
Clearing their calendars, finding pajamas to wear,
They knew the next day Ditch Summit would be there!

They nestled their children all snug in their beds,
Then visions of teaching joy danced through their heads!
They dreamed of Manny, Stevie, and then,
It was Trevor and Holly, Dee and Ken.

The very next day, as they turned around,
The first Ditch Summit email came in with a bound!
Matt Miller was dressed in his yellow and black best,
Excited and tired because he couldn't rest!

The teachers spoke not a word, and went straight to watching,
Gathering ideas like a well-filled stocking.
They passionately shared in tweets and videos,
So inspired with ideas, back to school they would go.

They sprang to their classrooms, to their students gave a whistle,
And off to work they went, learning fast like a missile.
I heard those teachers exclaim, with all of their might:
"Happy Ditch Summit to all. This year's gonna be all right!"

The "Twas the Night before Ditch Summit" poem is a little yearly tradition. It’s a sign that it's here — the Ditch Summit is here! (Well, it's here tomorrow.)

What to expect when the summit opens tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, you'll get emails with links directly to the day's new Ditch Summit sessions.

We’ll email you every day until all new sessions are released. That means you’ll get daily emails until Monday, Dec. 23.

• We have eight new featured speaker sessions and seven spotlight sponsor sessions this year.

• Each day, we’ll release a new featured speaker and a new spotlight sponsor until they’re all available.

• All video presentations from previous Ditch Summits will be available as soon as the summit opens tomorrow.

Everything you'll need will come in email — starting tomorrow.
