đź“ş Ditch Summit: Last day? An extension?

Summit is now open through Sunday!

Today is supposed to be the last day of the Ditch Summit.

But I have good news …

If you’ve been trying to squeeze in all the videos you can before it closes, you now have TWO more days to watch!

I’ll keep the summit open through the weekend, closing it at the end of the day on Sunday.

But after Sunday, all of the summit resources — videos, certificates, notes, all of it — become unavailable until the summit reopens in December.

⚠️CERTIFICATE ISSUES ⚠️ — If you had trouble generating certificates of completion over the last couple days, we hope that we have it resolved now.

If you didn’t receive an email/certificate for a session, just jump into the summit site and generate that certificate again.

If it still doesn’t work, feel free to reach out to us and we’ll make sure you get it.

⏭️ WHAT’S NEXT ⏭️— We’ll get back to our regular email newsletter format next week. Expect an email every Monday and Thursday with teaching ideas, practical classroom activities, copy-and-assign templates, and more. (If you’re new and loved the summit, you’re going to love the newsletters, too!)

So let’s get to it!

Find a session to watch. (Maybe it’ll be the session on MagicSchool below …)

AI Literacy for Students and Teachers with MagicSchool

Artificial intelligence can help us save time and get things accomplished.

But there’s also a lot to learn about AI and how it interacts with us.

Thankfully, for teachers and for students, MagicSchool (magicschool.ai) is a place where we can learn about both.

For teachers, MagicSchool helps us write lesson plans, create learning activities, and even create teacher jokes.

And for students, it can be a place where students interact with an AI chatbot for learning — in a safe and custom way.

But it can also teach us about the nature of AI and how it works … better preparing us to make safe, smart, informed decisions about how to use it.

In this session with MagicSchool’s Andrew Davies and Jeni Long, they share some of their favorite ways to use this tool — and learn about AI.
